2023
August: The WORST Lab was founded!
2024
April:​ Neha Dewansingh (undergraduate researcher) - Excellence in Research Award at the USF Social Sciences Research Poster Competition 

May:​ ​
Camila Hazzard (undergraduate researcher) - Summer Undergraduate Research Program for I-O Psychology at the University of Georgia

​​          Dr. Smith - Awarded BetterUp Center for Purpose and Performance Prize

June: Dr. Smith - Serving as co-investigator on USF CREATE Grant to develop the Center for Innovation, Technology, and Aging (CITA)

August: Savannah Flak + Stevie Boettcher (PhD students) join the lab
2025
January: Dr. Smith honored with the New Researchers award from USF

April: Savannah Flak (PhD student) earned a $22K building partnerships grant from USF 

           Adriana Gonzalez (undergraduate researcher) received the General Disciplinary Student awards at the Spring 2025 USF Undergraduate Research Conference

May​: Dr. Smith awarded an $150K grant to build a sleep collaborative at USF
               
             Ayana Kumar and Catarina Tapias (undergraduate researchers) both secured summer internships: Ayana in HR with the Metropolitan Opera in Manhattan and Cat with the Center for Career & Professional Development at USF
